Anyone know the correct size of fuel hose for a DT with standard 28mm carb? I have a 6mm hose on but had to drill the ends out to fit it on the nipples so I don't think it will get enough fuel on long wide open throttle runs.

        6mm will flow plenty enough.

As for your question, what size drill did you use, that should give you the answer 🙂

correct stuff is 7mm, fits perfectly and still tight without stretching too much.

i use the cotton braided proper fuel hose, its cheap on ebay and wont go brittle

Has anyone find transparent hose that will tolerate gazoline? I ordered some silicone hose from ebay, but later I realized that silicone does not tolerate gazoline... PVC hose is crap, it hardens fast and will leak easily...

@jgr72 Stick to the braided fuel hose is my advice.

It seems like most fuellines get stiff when gas has been in them, and leaving them with no gas afterwards, like if you shut off your petcock a few hundred meters before you get home.

I buy mine from a scootershop for dirt cheap, and replace it once in a while (like once in a year or two)

I like to se whats going on, so I appreciate the clear hoses, and fuelfilters.

the proper cotton braided fuel purpose hoses last a lifetime

using clear ones for fuel is asking for trouble, they go brittle, crack, split, leak and are toss!

you dont need clear ones, there is 2 filters in the petcock and theres a filter in the carb fuel inlet barb too
