So having owned my dt nearly a year and After finding a few faults and some pretty bad Bodge jobs iv decided to rebuild the bike back down to the frame everything painted all new bearing etc etc.

Since iv have only started this weekend there isn’t much to show as only stripped the tank panels etc but this was the bike before I started

Undecided on colour yet might stay original
Really want to supermoto it but don’t know if the budget can stretch that far.

Problem will need a far bit of advice along the way as this will be my first rebuild

@bradt You can also upload images direct, just click the upload cloud, select image, click open and then just wait for it to process. 😉

@ninja Yeah but it would seem like the upload limit is really small. I shall look at increasing it when I can.

@bradt The good thing about the original RE one is how much light they produce. That's probably why I didn't swap mine out, as I didn't want to compromise the light.

@declan The R lights are no where near as good as the RE lights.

The original DTR headlight with better bulb is one of the best stock trail bike headlights I've come across. I used to ride for hours at night,

                                  I tried to be cool with a WR400 headlight... because I couldn't find a Blue DT-RE unit.

                                  It's terrible.

Better off riding with a BIC lighter in one hand.

                                  Keep it real
