Does anyone how to disconnect the oil tank properly? Do you recommend doing it when the bike is fullpower or will it just mess things up?

Do you mean get rid of the oil pump and run premix?

You could just let it run out I guess. Why do you want to?

Never heard of a Dt oil pump fail and you can adjust them for more/less oil mix so dunno why you'd want to remove it if I'm honest.

@bananper I considered replacing mine when I got the bike just to be safe but upon research every said they were bombproof haha, I know atleast for the past two years of regular research on DT pages and forums I've never seen someone come up with a problem. If you're really worried you could rebuild the pump, fit clear lines for the oil and bleed the system, then you'll know it's reliable and be able to monitor it.

@glynn123 they can fail although it is pretty rare I think they have way more positives I’d never disconnect mine I wish all bikes came with an optional oil fed system
