What colour? Although any are hard to find new, takes time and patience.

Non-genuine ones can be had pretty readily.

Genuine ones...uhh some can be had, but name your price.

Also, getting graphics is going to be another challenge.

You can't beat the original graphics, yet no one seems interested in remanufacturing them

The original colour I'm looking at is white. There is some damage and parts have been repair stitched together. I saw those ebay ad's. The front of the sale states bikes from 98-03. Then it's stated that they are compatible with 88-03.
I've seen plastics scraped to improve their condition but I've heard white is very difficult to get results. Any experiences?

This guy sells all the white plastics

Has done for ages to lots of members on here.

Now, I know it won't beat original OEM plastics, but what tends to happen is that over time they whiten, Well that shouldn't be much of a problem on white plastics. Again I can't comment having never used them myself, but lots have.

If your panels are discontinued, too expensive or hard to find, then that's probably your best bet.

Something else to bear in mind is that there are at least 3 shades of yamaha white, even the correct panels can discolour depending where they have been stored. Very hard to match the panels if they are all from a different source. If you are not worried about originality go for the replica ones and at least they will all be the same shade.

@oldman I love that you've tracked down OEM panels. Luckily still readily available for my bike, at a cost...

That said, if I ever do a DTR build (1989 white and red for me) I probably would just grab these replicas lol.

I have been using Imageworks for my decals, good quality and I know he has graphics up to 91 at least, good to deal with and has made one for the red 88 from template provided. Have seen some of the ones on ebay and not a patch on his to be honest. Think his website is called bike stickers .com, Graham is the guy I talk to, worth asking if he does what you need.
