        @declan The hub and spindle shaft also looks warped, not only will the hub disintegrate at any time, as the spindle shaft is cracked and also distorted it is now weaker, as it has lost it's strength and is putting extra stress on the wheel bearings, so it will fail any day. That has obviously happened some time ago and has only gotten worse over time.

        The wheel spindle adds rigidity and stiffness to the front forks, which means your handling is now less precise due to excessive play and wheel wobble is increased .The bottom line is this - your front wheel will collapse one day if the hub is not replaced and you or someone else could die. The simple question you need to ask yourself is this;

        How much longer do you want to live? I would not ride a bike with that fault as it's just an accident waiting to happen. 😉

          @declan It's already failed, but I wouldn't expect a massive explosion of aluminium casting into your face at high speed,

          Perfectly ridable, just expect really accelerated wear on the spindle and massively across the bearings.

          ... but I wouldn't be trying to clear any doubles on the track,

          Keep it real

                        drill a small hole at the end of the crack to stop it form getting worse perhaps?
