If you have the loom it's mainly plug and play as Yamaha use a system called Poke Yoke, so it only goes together one way, which allows them to deskill the workforce on the production like whilst improving quality.

I’m guessing the loom is separate and not immediately connected to the engine in any way,? If that’s the case I have no loom

If you do not have a loom, them someone on here may be able to supply you with one? If not then check out this thread, scroll down for the used parts list, with some dudes and groups on Facebook, all well worth joining/adding if your rebuilding a bike.

@NINJA cheers buddy I’ll get on that it definitely looks like there’s no loom, it’s just my project bike i am making it a dirtbike so fingers crossed I can make it run again

there are some companies that make the looms for the older dts I was thinking I should brought one but didn’t have the money to brought it at the time as I brought some other things when I brought my other bike

Make sure you get the right loom for year, early pre 90 differ and not sure of later years, good luck with that one!
