What you looking for?
Plenty about on the market.
Are you on about a DTR or a DTRE/X?
As a DTR exhaust won't fit the DTRE/X frame properly. And vice versa.

@Calum hi it's a dtr125. looking at the manual it reads dt125r I presume it's the same bike. I have little experience in the bike so any help would be great help pal.
wrote on 16 Feb 2019, 10:06 last edited by@pedro1970 I'll ask to make sure since I'm confused, if your bike is a 2004 or later it will be an RE or X. If its between 1987 and 2004 then it will be a DT-R. The styling is quite different.

So the next best place is to look at those photos.
Should be fairly obvious as to what model you got.

I know, that's why I stuck the pictures on. I am wary of plates, especially when it comes to those facebook morons selling their vehicle and telling me its a 1956. Honestly at that point I am forced to wonder why they say 1956 instead of 56 plate or the year on their V5, assume they don't know how the plate numbering system works or in special cases people who believe their vehicle is from the year 1956 and that has happened to me once so far... I just walked away.

However if you want the ultimate in looks and performance then go for a Romeu pipe;
As they are not only hand made but they will outperform, outlast and look simply amazing on any DTR, as well as adding value. Personally I would not waste any more effort on this, just order that bad boy and be a happy biker 24/7!!!

@NINJA Just a word mind you, some people have had fitment issues. Some people like the bolt on nature of the DEP.
wrote on 18 Feb 2019, 17:34 last edited by@Calum Very true, but I've not heard any reports of any major fitting issues about the Romeu pipes. Plus how many people complain about the quality and durability of DEP pipes? Which rust, look like crap quickly and are made from paper thin metal, ergo they wear out very quickly. Plus the Romeu is £30 cheaper even without shopping around, so I would say that it's a no-brainer which one to buy. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes: :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

wrote on 18 Feb 2019, 18:31 last edited by@NINJA I think a few members on here had issues.
I had to custom fabricate up some parts to get mine to fit.
Don't get me wrong, bang on for the money.
The DEP isn't THAT bad. I was meticulous with it and rust spots formed. But it didn't rot.

The DEP is made of toilet paper, but it is one of the best designs for standard DTR. The geometry with the DEP was shared between Firebox and SPES, both great pipes.
Romeu's normal pipe doesn't rival the over rev with a DEP , comparatively the 'Special version' which is closer design, is incredibly expensive compared to performance gain against a DEP.
But he does great work, but also know examples of poor fitment aswell.

wrote on 18 Feb 2019, 20:14 last edited by NINJAOf course there's always the FMF system from a WR200, which I completely forgot about and fit's well too. Exhaust pipes seem to be a hot topic on here ATM.

Not cheap mind, but then quality products never are!!!
