Why what would be wrong with these ones ¿
Where would I get a reasonably priced Athena one@oisin Why are you cheaping out on the heart of your motorcycle.
Firstly, tolerances. China aren't known for the QC's.
Are the bores correctly honed, are the ports chamferred.
Secondly 3BN is a larger bore requiring a shorting stroke.
Fitting a genuine 3BN barrel to your 3MB will result in the piston fouling the head. Which would be disastrous.
I got a brand new 170 Athena kit for under £400.
But Athena also do a 125.

Thanks I really appreciate it. If I get rebore would I have to get new piston and if so what size@oisin When you rebore you need a larger piston. The piston should be supplied at time of rebore to ensure tolerances are matched. The borer will advise what piston to go with.
Once you go to a certain bore size, the powervalve must be modifed to avoid fouling the piston.

Namura piston kit, comes complete with modified powervalve and a brand new Japanese little end bearing. Has been re-painted in VHT met silver. £200 plus delivery
