I just bought my first dtr125 2003 model. My side light and speedo light turns on when i press my brakes after fitting all new bulbs and a new battery. Any ideas what could be the fault? Cheers.

I think this can occur if you have put a bulb in the wrong way round. You didn't use LEDs did you?

@gazzy555 Are any of the new bulb's a higher wattage? As that may cause the problem. Also check all of the connectors to each bulb, if any are corroded then that would also cause this issue.

Most likely a wiring fault, have a look behind the headlight cowl and make sure everything's in the right place.

as you've just brought it i assume you dont know the history of the bike ? anyone could have messed with it

have you got a Haynes manual?

is this a bright orange supermoto by any chance ?
