My bike has been started for the 2nd time today and it don't like to run without the choke on it will slowly die and if I adjust the idle it kinda makes the bike a little erratic like revving to 3k on it own

SO I always found that the bike never started with the stock carb without choke. So choke from cold is normal.
Once warm however it should be fine.
I would make sure the throttle is not ajar.

Its lean If it wont idle without choke when warm. Is the airscrew around 1,5 turns out?
You need to clean the carb, pay special attention to the idle jet, and the internal tube between that and the airscrew (remove the airscrew and make sure the tube is clear by spraying fluid (carb cleaner, wd40, brake cleaner or compressed air ect) through it

A thorough clean of the carb might be the trick. Certainly did for me numerous times.

The stock carb seems to work fine for the bike, so no I havent reserced if another one is bolt on, but wouldn't think so.
