It's gotta be two stroke smoke coming from the exhaust surely? Perhaps a small leak? What exhaust system does it have?

I had thought that but it would spit the coolant out of the overflow of it was that and it doesn't at all the exhaust just gets really hot

@reecesloane-2017 How hot. I mean yeah it's going to get hot. The exhaust is exposed to the combustion flame...

There isn't a temperature gauge on the RE so is the light coming on?

It could be the water pump failing.

Or simply a faulty temperature sender...

It gets hot to the point where I can smell
It burning and feel the heat of it but it doesn't boil the coolant it the light doesn't come on I'm just worried about it heat seizing I thought the restrictions in the standard pipe would make it heat up I've got a yz 250 and I could put my hand on the pipe after hours of riding if I did it on the dt it would be serious the bikes only done a few hundred miles from new coolant is circulati g

must admit never felt the silencer but will check when i get to work tomorrow morning but have melted many rubber conectors now have made pipe longer so silencer and exhaust dont have the slight gap and use a silicon hose reducer and have not melted and poped anymore conectors

                        Light isn't coming on?

Right mate Yeah it's fine you are worrying over nothing.

It's not a crosser the standard pipe is solid and absorbs lots of heat. I remember mine absolutely stank when I rode it home down the motorway.

But once it was home it was fine. As said that's just normal, the cat will cause the engine to run hot anyway.

@reecesloane-2017 Yeah mate. I got a thread on here about removing it. Don't. It's a royal pain the ass.

The stock pipe has a huge honeycombe system in it. It stinks when hot lol.

                              But it's a quality pipe.

@reecesloane-2017 Put the snorkel back in, I do have one for sale actually.

And the boost bottle, also have the inlet one for sale. I must have the boot one lying about as well!

Yeah the pipe is going to get hot because it retains so much heat due to its thickness and material, as such yes you will see heat waves.

The snorkel is modified so that it will let in more air, but not disrupt the air flow.

It may not be what you're after.

The boost bottle is in fine condition.

For forum members I would do both of them for £15, so long as you don't buy it through eBay lol and I get charged shed loads of fees.

Just let me know here and I will take down the eBay ad.
