Hi
Is there any way to put a temperature gauge on to a DT125X, I know that the older models had one but there's only a light on newer models. i only ask as recently I've had overheating issues and wanted to keep an eye on the temperature more accurately.

No reason why you couldn't have a speedo and a little sensor.

The thing about our clocks is that the temperature sensor only goes on when it's reached a threshold. Where what you really want is something that measure resistance. Since that's directly proportional to heat.
A thermocoupler around the spark plug is the best one.

Is there no way to use the sensor from the Older model DT to put on a temp gauge? but otherwise Do you mean something like this?

But then what's the point when you could just use that gauge there.
Remember you will have to calibrate the sensor with the old dtr model. Or use the DTR clocks. But then the wiring loom will probably need to be spliced

I think i will just buy the gauge as it seems the easiest option, although i do prefer the DTR clocks but i don't really want to be cutting into my wiring. Iv'e had enough electrical issues from an aftermarket alarm a previous owner put on.

Which has everything you will need including shift lights.
I scanvenged the old plugs so I don't need bullet connectors. It's pretty OEM.
But comes with Time, Temperatures, RPM's, Speed, Trip Meter. Total Meters.
It's pretty good. Mines an RE.

Hiya,
its quite an old thread, but wondered if anyone knew.
The Trail Tech dashboard, any ideas on which model fits the DT 125 RE 2006 plate. Ive been searching google. even emailed trail tech and not had a response yet.
Just wondered, Thanks in-advnace.

Vapor Stealth. Very good unit highly recommended it. It does run off batteries though and they do die.
You do splice it into your loom. But when you turn it off you cut the power then it runs off batteries. Very good though.

I shelled out just shy of £30 recently for a brand new temp gauge for my TDR as I couldn't find one used that was for showing the temperature rather than just flicking on a light. Are you telling me that they use the exact same temp gauge?!
