My dt125r/wr200 project
-
Frame been acid dipped to kill any rust and then acid etc primed -
@andrewj1680 ooooooooh must let me ride it when it's finished
-
@darty it was vapour blasted after so it should be ok fingers crossed, what would you suggest waiting awhile to see if anything comes through the primer before painting? I'm not in a rush altho i have pretty much everything to build it I'd just rather do it properly first time round
-
@andrewj1680 I have no experience with this but you should wait no sense potentialy waisting time and materials
-
First rear swingarm fitup to check clearance before paint
-
-
Dt and wr carbs stripped vapour blasted inside and out and then internals ultrasonic cleaned
-
Few more bits all stripped back to bare metal including a fuel tank already for primer -
Cant beat a good kitchen build lol
Looks like you are doing a proper job mate
-
does the stock dt wheel fit in that wr swing arm?
-
It does yes
-
Is the WR swingarm longer than the DTR one as it looks longer?
Btw All Balls sell a complete overhaul kit for the WR via ebay for approx £60 which must be cheaper than Yamaha.
-
Mick Abbey tuned wr200 cylinder and head ready for the transplant -
Looking good so far
How much did the work cost for the tuning?
-
He charges £170 including postage back to you but he does do a good job it totally changed my dt125r it was like a different bike
