The official figures are 60mpg and a 145 mile range, which may include the reserve? But I guess those figures are for owners who ride within the speed limits 24/7. I use to get 100+ per tank, 125 if I wasn't blasting my bike a lot. 🙂

@terry-tz Doesn't sound right, is the carb leaking?

@calum Mikuni flat slide not measured but I'm under the assumption it's the original so 28mm and no servo its pinned

@terry-tz So you will lose fuel economy with servo pinned, that's just how two strokes work.

With the servo pinned, fuel is just spat straight into the exhaust port.

The servo alters the exhaust port height, allowing the expansion chamber to force this lost charge back into the combustion chamber. Like in that GIF.

So yes, it will affect fuel economy. Also with servo you can spend more time at the lower RPMs without losing rideability.

@terry-tz Yeah but think about it, my bike happily poots along at 4k, so I spend a lot of time there.

The YPVS is allowing the exhaust to force the lost fuel air back into the combustion chamber hence why it's got torques.

If I were to poot along at 8K, you're twice the revs, so near enough twice the fuel.

I think it's me anyway I ride it like I stole it at the moment I'm just getting over the withdrawals of not having a bike for a while under estimating the miles am doing
