    @nottsbiker

    Bottom bush had gone on it he said, that would make it sag if it had lots of play. The size of the rear tyre also ads to the height in the pic I think.

      Yes one of my old DTR's had the same thing many moons ago. Being 43 makes me forget I'm talking about stuff from 20 years ago...

      Crazy to think my TDR is on a G plate and approx 1989 vintage. 2 years away from being 30 🙂

              @scrimsmustang thats the bike by sounds of it ive put a better motor in it in my opinion the engine that was in it had seen better days it felt a bit worn, I'm in 2 minds weather to stick it back on ebay as a standard bike ive lost all interest in the dts they have had their day i think. I have 4 here and a wr200

                Yes I thought it looked familiar, I dont know to much about what was done to it, I done the bits for it through a friend of a friend.It did look nice when I seen it complete but I did wonder about the choice of tyres on it at the time. It was probably about a year ago I would say.

                I have a few myself, got my first one new in 89. I still use them now and again and still enjoy it.

                  To say its a italian bike i thought it would go well for a dt it had the original engine but it felt like it was lacking power also i had alot of vibrations from it as if the balancer shaft was out turns out they had glued the water propellor and then put the side casing back on while the glue was still wet and it had stuck to the baffle plate which must of then bent the plate once it was started and snapped some teeth off the propellor causing the vibrations after seeing that i had to pull the engine for piece of mind there is probs more bodged bits to it

                      Fancy doing all that work and then trying to glue the waterpump, I think the only difference between an Italian bike and a UK bike back then would be no exhaust restriction and a servo. Wouldnt be anymore powerful than a derestricted UK bike.

                        This is the bike I know, is it the same one I thought, looks a lot better on ebay with the proper grey engine cases and rear footpegs on.

                            It looks really nice, be a good bike for someone that now you have fixed the faults. It should get over £2000 White/Red is popular.

                                        Ebay has had its day. They only want big volume sellers not the likes of you and I shifting unwanted spares any more as its too much hassle for them. Don't get me started on the fees either = total rip off
