                Have to sort out that red exhaust guard though, is the disc guard different? Looks like it butts up to the caliper

                    @oldman there is a extra bit there on the caliper but they are meant to have it but most of them are missing my black and blue dt also has it

                              My guess is to stop crap being thrown all over the brake caliper

                                I'm not sure what the reason behind it is I've only had them on 3 now but I've prob had around 15 or more Dtr but I've found that scrap seem to sit up behind it

                                  Thought it might be similar to the ones fitted to Cagiva Supercity's to guide cool air to the caliper.

                                  TDR-R's have something similar as well so Yamaha seem to think they work, out did backin the 90's
