Hi all I'm curious to know if anyone else has had a water pump drainage bolt that can't be tightened? It just grips then spins then grips then spins.. It's fairly annoying as I can't get the bike to hold its coolant. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Sounds like the thread has be corssthread.
How very annoying.
It might be able to repair the existing thread, or drill, tap and heli coil, if there is room...

Try cutting a slot along the thread of the bolt an see if it will clean the thread out
If not run A tap through the thread
Last resort screw in some threaded bar coated in red loctite leave it over night put a nut on the end of the stud an use a compression washer -

Had similar, lucky enough to redrill and tap thread. Snapped bolt as I was removing the water pump cover, fixing a stud in place sounds a good idea?
