@scrimsmustang I saw the Portuguese bloke sells the fluo plastics which are nice but I think they would only suit the real custom dts not the “normal” looking ones if you know what I mean but that yellow with that blue is a beautiful combo

@scrimsmustang Now that is what you call a restoration job for-sure. You obviously have a real passion for restoring bikes, which clearly shows in the detailing and quality of your workmanship - Kudos to ya. Do you do this as a hobby or as a means to make some extra cash or perhaps maybe a little bit of both???

Both I suppose, I stopped doing it for a while and im stopping again when what I have is finished the last 2 I have done has decided that. Its hard to make money restoring a DTR when average to poor bikes sell for 4 or 500 quid less than a fully restored bike sells for these days.

@scrimsmustang Last enduro I bought new, KTM250XC 2011 model, rode it 4 times and then took ill early 2012 and had heart bypass in 2013. Took till 2014 to get over it properly. Never used it since its sat in the garage under a sheet I should have sold it back when it was still new. I really miss the moors and off road riding.

If I could do that now I wouldn't have to sit in the garage, would have to empty the wardrobes for my tools and the drawers for spare parts, and the yellow pages for a divorce lawyer . Its like a competition prize, keep the bike in the bedroom and get a 1 bed flat.
