Replace chain roller?
-
@irongamer727 No, the OEM ones are flat.
But I dunno, seems a lot for some chain rollers if you ask me.
-
Good news! Found flat chain rollers in a local shop nearby. Will get them for sure. So much nicer than having to wait until April 20th if I ordered from eBay.
-
@irongamer727 the chain wears the roller to fit the chain perfectly
-
What do you think about making a chain roller from wood? Stupid idea?
-
@irongamer727 yeah that’s pretty stupid dude why would you want to do that they’re only a few pounds and the wood would rot chip splinter and just not function properly I really don’t see an upside to using wood unless you do?
-
@irongamer727 it really isn’t bud or atleast I don’t think so do you know the size of your roller the bearing size IE 12mm?
-
@irongamer727 your right lol- https://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/Black-Adjuster-Chain-Tensioner-Bolt-On-Roller-Motorcycle-Chopper-ATV-Pit-Bike-UK/162473785599?hash=item25d43138ff:g:kHEAAOSwmgJY8EP2
The best compromise I can find on ebay -
@irongamer727 why not buy oem then? Money scarace?
-
@irongamer727 like @Calum said penny board wheels are a good start
-
@declan Plus them tensioners look tacky as!
Nah man, I'd definitely look into penny board wheels, you could get OEM looking rollers, better quality for next to nothing.
Just need to research it a little to ensure you do actually buy ones that fit. I am dead certain I saw someone do it.
-
I linked them at the top. Calum responded "pricey".
-
@irongamer727 yeah it is pricey for a roller anyway normal price would be about 6 quid but 13 still ain’t a sell your first born child pricey so I say do it if it fits
