Best Bearing Tools
Dear Tools -
How are we all??? LOL
I'm just wondering which tools you guys use to remove and install your ball bearings with???
What type of bearings bud?
Usually I use an oven and no press for engine stuff.
@calum Well headset and wheels mainly. And how do use use an oven???
200 degrees, bearings drop straight in.
@calum DAYUM!!! COOL trick and I must say what a very clean oven too. Does the misses know about your roasted crank case sorbets???
@ninja It's actually the best way to do them, as you put no stress or strain on the bearing and don't risk damaging the crank journals.

Headset bearings I used a long m20 nut and bolt with some packing washers etc, pulled straight in that way.
And wheel bearings I used a heat gun and then an aluminum drift I think. Might've even been timber actually. If you get the hubs warm enough then they don't need much encouragement at all. You can also freeze your bearings for 24 hours before fitting.

A drift for wheelbearings, I make a homemade press for the linkage bearings with a threaded rod, washers and nuts.
I once removed a bearing using bread aswell (go youtube it) just to try it
