      Bike is a 96 4BL......in project stage......
It was salvaged some years ago from rental bikes, pretty rough, factory stock and without maintenance for years,65000km original piston.
Now there are a ton of mods on it and still going.

Calum I've read your project thread a lot of times & videos on youtube, excellent job.

I need my tools and a pile of junk.....

@MadGyver 65K on the original piston?? That's 40 thousand miles. Pretty sure the engine would have been scrapped by then? You sure it isn't 6.5K?

Oh cheers bud, still actually haven't ridden that bike since I finished it, just went into storage.

Well definitely get up a project thread, will love to see what you do with it 😄

@MadGyver That is absolutely mental bud!

Would love to see the state of the engine after that sort of mileage!

@Irongamer727 all the case bearings where ok for the km they had, everywhere had a lot of oil deposits.
I was impressed for the pull it had and how unmaintained it was.
As my memory serves had no leak from the seals or gaskets, nor water with oil, gearbox was with oil but very old.

@MadGyver have you checked the engine numbers against the logbook? Could of had a new engine unit at some point?
If not that millage is insane for a 2t, guessing it was still factory restricted?

@Glynn123 100% original unopened engine,it was the reason i bought it.Unfortunately don't have a pic from the day of purchase,it could be a highly recommended scrap yard candidate.
I have some old photos from the repair of the plastics, when i make a thread you'll see.
