@pedrobatista10 Right but you need the rest of the components. Which can be quite costly.

It is actually cheaper to just grab the whole engine, take the parts you need. Sell the rest.

@pedrobatista10 You need it all. Have a look at the parts diagram.

@pedrobatista10 Although the RS and MX/SX 125's share the same Rotax 122 engine, the RS has an electric start whereas the MX/SX has a kick start. You can convert the RS to a kickstart, but you will need a lot of parts like flywheel, kickstart assembly, clutch case, starter motor blank off etc. However the biggest problem is you will either have to modify or most likely totally remove the whole left side fairings, in order to kick start the engine. You would be better off just sticking with the electric start and look at other ways to save a bit of weight, if that is your goal? Look at Titanium bolts, Lithium ion battery, carbon products or just go the old fashioned way by just removing unwanted stuff. πŸ˜‰

@pedrobatista10 I have bought this one for my MX 125, I did find a conversion chart for Acid to Li-ion batteries, I'll try to find it for you.

@NINJA Don't need to swap the flywheel for an RS conversion.

@Calum I know but the RS flywheel is heavier, so if weight saving is your goal then it's worth doing.

Sure, but if weight saving is the key then I'd go with no starter or kick starter. The idle gear isn't even on a bearing, it mates to the cases and incurs drag. You'd actually be better off binning the starter and bump starting it everywhere. Besides, the starter system is pretty light, if you go for a Lithium battery you will save yourself lots of weight

@Calum I was actually going to suggest the bump start method - pure TT race stylee. But for a road bike something a bit more refined is better. I like electric starters, much more cooler than a kick starter for-sure, which may explain why the latest MX and Enduro bikes now have them. But then as most SuMo's are converted from MX/Enduro bikes, electric starters are more common these days. The Li-ion batteries are uber cool, you only have to pick one up and compare it to an acid battery and you are sold, there featherweight in comparison. Plus they come with a built in LED charge tester, so you can easily see it's condition and it's recharges to 90% in six minutes with a compatible charger. The future is finally here for motorbikes!!! :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:  :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

I must admit, I do like the original turn signals. But matter of preference.

Even the ones I put on my DT, I can't help feel stock is slightly better styling wise.

@Calum i like the originals for 2010 model. But i think they are too big, thats why i bought these ones, smaller and β€œcarbon” and will look good with tyga carbon parts i will add. For example, on my dtx i dont even use turn signals.

@pedrobatista10 I bought some "Red" ones for my DT, but you can tell the difference in quality between these cheap chinese ones I bought, and the carbon fibre that's on it. And I can't help feel the same for these. You'll have high quality carbon fibre parts and these may offset it.

But won't hurt to see what they're like. And it's your bike, keep us posted.
