Advice on buying a 1993 Honda XR600
-
One popped up close to me, I have wanted one for a long time. Thinking about turning it into a supermoto. They have like 46 hp stock but you should be able to get that up a bit right? Does anyone have experience with these machines?
Cheers

You won't need to, they will be wheelie monsters with the right gearing

@Nottsbiker Probably, internet said it only weighed 128kg (dry). That's not so bad is it?

@Irongamer727 There is no way they are that light. Aprilia RS125 is 130 Dry!
Impressive if they are though

Found an xr650r as well now. 20 hp more but weighs more as well. Supermoto wheels was included.

@declan Leaning towards the Xr650 now since most are sold as supermotos. They're not very cheap though.

@Irongamer727 yeah but they last forever the 650s watercooled too so that’s an advantage although I prefer air cooled as there’s less to go wrong

@declan don't mind them but big tolerances to allow for the temperature variations kinda suck for tuning, also the water cooled R version is just a different bike all together, proper race machine.
