Cleaning up the parts, I have access to a shot blaster and vapour/Vaqua blaster so this is what I used to clean up the parts and prep them for powder coat.

Vaqua blasting the suspension arm
Rear Master cylinder Vaqua blasted
Have more to clean so will post my progress accordingly.

Will be replacing the wheel rims with gold anodised aluminium rims and orignal dt hubs so I took the tires off and cut spokes to save time as I plan to used stainless steel spokes anyway,
Hubs to be Vaqua blasted to clean ready for the powder coating they will be going Matt black.

Brake callipers cleaned up ready for powder coat, did these by Vaqua blasting them

Cleaned up some bits bolts and hardware to see what they will turn out like,
I Vaqua blasted them
some to paint/powder coat and others are to to get zinc plated will be replacing a lot with new ones too
Most Of them turned out great
Zinc plating makes them look like new againDeep pitting where rust and been and scratches in the bolts does show up tho

Forks are in good condition no rusting or pitting on the stanchions so a strip and a clean and add progressive fork springs to improve the front suspension and course new seals
Tubes to be polished up to a chrome like finish

A nice package has arrived for the Dt but what could it be :face_with_open_mouth:
It’s the dt 200 engine 3ET engine ready to overhaul and drop in the freshly powder coated frame.
Will update the engine progress accordingly and plenty of pictures of stripping down.

Not to rain on the parade, I think it's slightly inferior to the 3XP00 engine. But let us know how you get on.
I think the ports are slightly different.
@Calum It's very inferior to the 3XP-4BF WR200. No Aux boost ports and very tame port timing.
@mhbikesnbits I'm liking the project man, should be sweet! The 3ET lump with some breathing mods will make a nice road going 2stroke. It's a very unstressed engine, plenty of torque down low. Kind of want one as well,
I didn't like the damage to the crankcase and the price of that one, but a good project base, keep us posted.
