Could be completely wrong but it looks to me like it might push out rather than unscrew, but could be rust seized so will require a lot of force.
I've never actually removed the linkage on one of these bikes so I wouldn't start hammering until someone else can confirm though

Should push out from the other side. I had this problem and in the end resorted to cutting it out and buying a used relay arm.
The bearings were rusted solid on mine -

Would applying heat be a good or bad idea??

@jakeyboy good idea apply heat penetration fluid and a good hit with a drift

The main issue is getting at it to drift it out. The frame rail is in the way unfortunately
