Dtx From Spain!
-
Hello!
My name is AdriΓ‘n and I live in Zaragoza, Spain.
I'm the proud owner of DT125X /2005 since 2013 with whom I am very happy. With her, I have gone to work every day, traveled with friends, outings on twisty roads, circuit runs...lot of fun!
MY WASP ...
ENGINE: Nothing has been done except the Arrow exhaust pipe, the breather pipe and the 15t sprocket.ESTHETIC: nothing exceptional. It is full black, the only thing that changed is the Ufo Ghibli as a headlight, which personally, I love how it fits.
After these hard years of use and all that it has given me, I think it deserves a little time. Taking advantage of the confinement, I have decided to start the restoration project.
I met this forum by chance, looking for information on the escapes of Romeu Henriques
I hope to learn a lot by reading your lines and share my progress and my adventures.
I hope everybody is fine, without covid19.
Greetings.
AdrianPS: Say if I am wrong with English. I don't master it at all.

Thanks friends! I will try to write with this level of English
I've always liked DTs. When I wanted to buy a motorcycle to go to work it is the best compromise between price / reliability in 2 strokes. Another one of my options was the Cagiva Planet 125cc. But the Yam SM style won and not enough money then to buy Ktm Exc or GasGas...
My idea is to start by disassembling, see all those elements that are not normally seen. Bearings, wiring, rust .... Get an idea of ββthe general state. As I check parts to change, I will look for the option that improves driving or performance.
I have seen Dts with forks, shocks and swing arms changed.
For example, a friend sold me the damper and swing arm of a 1989 yz 125. I'm waiting pictures.Although the bike works very well with a motor and a stock chassis (tested on a kart circuit with good tires), I understand that they can give more power and handling.
