@declan I'm currently building a new PC, but I will be working on my bike again soon, as my back has improved. I would have started earlier if it wasn't for me nearly chopping the end of my middle finger off a couple of weeks ago.

@NINJA I literally bought an i9 9900ks upon release, it's just been sat in the loft doing nothing. Finally bought the motherboard, ram and psu this month. The pump I bought back September has been discontinued so now I have to buy two new ones if I want the PC to match.

Dayum, when did motherboards get so expensive, £550 for the motherboard! It was half that price when I last built one!

Do I need to ground the stator for it to produce power I'm testing the wires with just the stator on the engine with flywheel etc but not getting a reading

Well it's potential difference. So if there is no reference to ground then there is no difference.

The manual says test the stator resistance on x100 but my multimeter doesn't have that setting will 2000ohms Do? I wasn't able to get any signs of life off it yesterday

I'm not sure if it's my flywheel that's the issue the flywheel for my stator is different to the one on the engine the one that came with the stator has big magnets that you can screw off where as the one on the bike is your normal dtre flywheel

That’s a great price for a complete engine though!

@Darty yeah apparently it was just sitting at the back of the guys shed in a dtx frame that had no plastics and was missing a bunch of parts nothing interesting I'm afraid
