Tight crank shaft nut

So I'm doing my first engine rebuild and I'm stuck at undoing be crankshaft nut, I cannot get it to move, is it supposed to be extremely tight? The one on the other side wasn't anywhere near as tight.

@LJK_hunter The othet side has a tab washer to stop it coming undone. The flywheel nut should be tightened to 60nm approx. Although it's possible that it's has tightened due to the reciprocating mass of the wheel.

There wasn't a tab washer on either side but this is the side that's tight.

Breaker bar should do it no problem.. I found it easier to break those nuts by putting the engine back in the frame temporarily.

Put the clutch basket back on and wedge a piece of hard plastic between the gears, i use a small lump of nylon, then it should come undone with a breaker bar.
Or cheat and use an air rattler/windygun.

I Was doing a full rebuild so it was bar in small end eye and two blocks of wood as to not damage the crankcases. But any of the other methods will do it.

Got the nut off now, used
@MIGHTYMAN 's advice and put the engine back in the frame. Thanks guys

@Calum Exactly how i did it. Had to get a massive foot long 1/2 inch breaker bar to remove it. was very tight!

I ended up using a bit of alluminium between the gears and an impact gun on the nut. A bit pikey but it did it
