@declan I'm just waiting for the Squirrels to finish eating their peanuts, then I'll head out to the garage OK.

Aww how annoying!
Well you might be able to just get a new hub, saves the costs of buying rims.
I don't imagine those wheels being too cheap. What's a replacement?

Used wheels do not come up very often and are snapped up quickly. I have purchased 2 spare sets of wheels over the past year and was planning to keep the 2 best sets and sell the other. Sadly I now only have 5 usable wheels. I will take the original wheels off and hopefully fingers crossed be able to get the rear disc off, so that I have 2 usable sets again. The front disc is bolted on with hex bolts, just the same as the RS, as the discs are the exact same for both bikes.
It's such a shame as it was a good wheel, new bearings and she was good_to_go. The rim and spokes are still usable, so I'll just have to wait until another rear wheel comes up for sale and build a complete wheel out of all the best parts I have.

@calum Yeah the hubs scrap metal now sadly - and a new Talon hub would probably be cheaper???

@calum The RX 125 run the same hubs and I've just found a dude in Germany selling an RX rear wheel. The hub looks good, the spokes and rim are a bit rusty, he wants Β£149 for it so it's a possibility. He also has terrible feedback, so we'll see, I have other priorities ATM and need to progress this build, so a spare set of wheels is low priority just now.

@calum I paid Β£250 for a pair, so Β£149 for the rear is not too bad, especially compared to the new prices. Plus it has the disc and sprocket removed already. But like I said it's low priority ATM, I have one good set, if I can get another set out of what I've got then I'm golden, it's just a shame as the funds would have paid to have my frame shot blasted and coated.

@ninja why is that squirrel so fat lol Iβm sure you could get a generic sm hub laced up and thatβs definitely a strange thing to snap do you think it was maybe already compromised maybe an hairline crack

And yeah it could have been pre-damaged, hard to say now but it's totally knackered now and just scrap metal.
