      Hi!
      I think prices on lowering kits are far too high, and we have a machine shop at work, so i'll try to make the dogbones myself - do any of you happen to have one of these kits, and would be willing to take some measurements of the dogbones for me?

        Standard Drop links - Tie bars.. Dogbones... for the DT were like 110?mm

        Hope that helps.

            Nice, thanks a lot! Do you remember what the diameter of the holes is?

            Interesting, though I don't know if it makes sense with shipment to Denmark? I suppose they are too heavy to send as a letter, and a parcel will be pricey, I think.

                    @MDN91 They will go in a padded envelope no problem, shipping would be about the same as a regular small international packet. I'll investigate for you and get a quote if you like???

                    These are the ones I have;

                    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lust-Racing-Yamaha-DT125X-DT125R-Lowering-Kit-2005-onwards-Drop-Links-Linkage-/330504690203?hash=item4cf39d5a1b:m:mg-QcmxI2dTALRNHuxcRdrQ

                    I'm not sure what is happening, as the url looks perfect in the compose box, but is screwed up in the preview and final message box for some strange reason???

                      You can escape stuff using back ticks. I reckon it was trying.to put in an emoji there since there were colons.

                      Bit of an odd url however url's are encoded so that's the other option

                          @MDN91 For an International tracked and signed service the shipping cost will be £8.25, if you don't want the tracking it may be slightly cheaper via regular post? I would be looking for £30 for the dog bones on top of that.

                          The bones are mint as they were only fited to the bike but never ridden, as I felt they lowered it too much for my liking and was able to get a pair of stock links instead,

                          Lemme know if your interested to proceed???

                            @CYBER-NINJA Sounds fair, though I just realised that the link you posted is for 2005- onwards, do you know if they fit my '95 DT 125 R?

                              @MDN91 That link was a random one I found when I saw your original post. These are the ones I actually bought;

                              http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lust-Racing-Yamaha-DT125-Lowering-Kit-1989-2004-Drop-Links-Linkage-Dog-Bones-/230806782743?hash=item35bd280317

                              I believe that Yamaha did not change the design throughout the lifespan of the DTR, they may have altered them for the later DTX and Re models. But one of the guru's on here would be able to confirm that though for-sure??? 😉

                                I find the DTR lower, however that's not fact. I have always had a jack up kit on my DTRE

                                Pretty sure I just bought DTR ones off the forum when I joined in 2010 lol

                                  @CYBER-NINJA Sorry for the late response, haven't had much spare time this past week. I've made a deal with a guy from our machineshop at work, he'll make some for me for free, so i'll have to decline your offer - thanks for your help, and sorry for the trouble!
