@andrewj1680 @scrimsmustang is an absolute gold mine for knowledge! I hope all is well bud!
-
@scrimsmustang Is that the real scrimsey??? LOL
-
@Calum totally agree, totally different bike now you can really feel how restricted that head really was, I had the bike jetted before the cylinder went away and I've had to back the jets off slightly I'm guessing it's where the flow is better now
-
The cylinder legs won't fit, cases need boring out for crank and cylinder legs, transfer ports enlarging, and the correct crank. See my thread
-
@Louis-James thanks bud I've decided to keep the dt as a 125 and rebuilding a wr200 instead, stunning bike you have there takes awhile to get through your build spec too lol can I ask what your v force reeds are meant for i can't seem to find them for the wr200
-
Thanks a lot, they're for a YAMAHA Blaster 200
-
@Louis-James you alright mate just wondering what crank you ended up using and where did you get it from? I've stripped my engine down and personally don't think it needs it but I'd rather do it properly first time around, I've searched but seems the only options are the hodrods crank which don't seem to have many good reviews and a rabbit rebuild kit that I can't seem to find much info on at all
-
@andrewj1680 I ran it with a Blaster wiseco crank for a while with a modified spacer behind the primary drive gear which made it have less overlap on the clutch, I wasn't happy with it worrying it would damage it, so I bought a new wr200 crank and sold the wiseco one
-
@Louis-James think thats how I'll go about it, when I spoke to fowlers they were suggesting I had to buy the crank in 2 halves is this right? Your don't have a part number do you bud? Seem to be getting a lot of ideas from your build the bigger carb reeds for example it's nice to know it's already been done
-
A whole crank. Fowlers have it listed on their website as a single item. There are rs250 carbs on eBay, mine was £50 in perfect working order. I can find a part number if you can't
-
3XP1140000 says it replaces 2TV-11400-00
Fowlers list this also for the Dt200r which is strange because apparently the wr200/dt200wr is meant to have 0.7mm longer stroke.
-
@Louis-James thanks mate appreciate it I'll get on it tomorrow first thing, there is nothing wrong with the crank in it but knowing my luck they will have discontinued it by the time I do need it lol always the way ain't it
