@andrewj1680 Is the powervalve set up properly?
-
@Calum it's a early bike so not on cables so I've pegged the power valve fully open which I've done on a few now and always had good results, the engine has done less than 4500 miles all its life I'm wondering if it just needs a few good hard runs to free things up? Could be wrong. As far as I'm aware it only had the exhaust restrictor, my zeeltronic should be here next week if all goes well but I'm sure the 3nc-00 cdi is unrestricted so possibly won't make a lot of difference
-
@andrewj1680 You should be pleasantly surprised. It's not a restriction but you can have a far more aggressive map.
What code is you cylinder head?
-
@andrewj1680 Yes, but what is the code on the head?
-
My stock dtr would top out at 60 on stock brackets. That wasn't quite max revs but with all the noise I didn't dare
-
@andrewj1680 Yeah that head is restrictive.
Either derestrict the head, or grab a 3MB head and you will see noticeable gains.
-
@andrewj1680 It's a specialist job I'm afraid.
It's more complicated than what I know.
Mick Abbey did my head for about £35 a few years back, I'm sure someone here had their 3BN done recently. Or you can pick up a 3MB Head, but they seem to be getting harder to find these days...
-
i had mine done by mick abbey last month was £35 turnaround was 3 days not had time to fit it yet as work is still manic
-
@britshgigolo Should upload a photo so we can have a ganders
-
Ideal probably cheaper to get it done than get a replacement as I can't seem to source 1 and fowlers want £325+vat not the price I wanna pay as I plan a 200 build during the winter anyway
-
sorry could not find the pictures on the comp so got some new ones
-
@britshgigolo And this was a 3BN?
Wow that looks wicked now!
Really nice squish band. That's going to make a nice difference.
-
Thanks lads I've just messaged him to do what he can with both the cylinder and the head possibly just get the bike to him to fit and sort the zeeltronic ignition too
-
yes with the squish band seem to have lost the original photos where i had them side by side
-
@Calum cant wait t get it fitted normally work dies off over christmas but not stoped yet hoping for a week off at some stage to get it all fitted
