Starter motor issue

Hiya, the starter motor on my 04 DTRE is broken completely. And I've been searching all over the enternet to find one but can't find one for a dt. I was wondering if anyone would know if another starter motor from a different bike would fit it? Thank you all.

There are definitely a couple of other bikes using the same starter motor. The one I bought was from one of the Derbi 125s and I only had to use a different 12v connector to make it fit my TDR. The bolt holes and spline lined up perfectly.

@Mightyman Gilera SC uses the exact same engine as the DTRE as well.

KTM LC2 is a DT engine from the 90's
Ran a 3MB. Not sure if the start would fit or not, bottom end is very 3MB like, however it uses KTM branded parts.
Probably would work.

Whats wrong with the motor? Have you inspected it?
My startermotor for my xt600 got a cleaning and new brushes at around 110.000km, its now at 172.000km, and still working fine.
