spokes size for stock wheels on dtr?

Does anyone know the spoke sizes for a stock wheel on a dtr 1998. I had to cut five of them as they where completely seized in the nipples. anyone know where i can buy them on the cheap? (less than £20) any help is great I don't really want to buy a whole new set as it's about £50 but if it's the only way i guess i will.

I wouldn't scrimp on spokes personally. Sounds a little dangerous. If it were me I'd invest in some nice Aluminium spokes. Have them laced to dt200r rims, which are ally. I believe.

i spent £130 quid on the bike and just want to get it running first i've redone the engine with all new bearings seals new bore crank rebuild (just the lot basically) i've got the rear wheel i just want to get replacment spoke for it and really want to find 5 of the for no more than £20 idealy once i've got it running i will then feel happy to most likely splash some cash on some excel wheels or such.

@perithtv yeah please don't scrimp on spokes you don't know what 2nd hand ones have been through and could seriously injure you

Someheatfrom ablowtorch will usually loosen them up.

don't need spokes to test if the bikes a runner

well to see if the bike runs well and what not i do i can't really watch a sprocket spinning a be like "yer looks good"

@perithtv well you could always ride it with the missing spokes just don't hit no bumps

@perithtv Yeah it needs load on the engine.

Even if it's missing spokes, it will be "safe-ish" to test up the road.

WHen my bike got nicked it was missing about 8 or so spokes. Rode it home no problems. Just slowly.

Yeah if you're going off road then have the wheels balanced and trued....

@calum wheel balanced off road? it will never be balanced anyway with mud in your tire

@terry-tz no but if he's using it as an on road bike but testing it off road with missing spokes it's gonna throw everything off

tbh I wouldn't care anyway after seeing what wheels can cope with and then seeing them be trued after
as long as the spokes not close to one another then there will be enough stress to hold it together it could probably take more impact than you think it's just more of a pain to true
