Hi, I've just finally got round to posting on here, I ride a DT 125 RE which I have pretty much fully rebuilt since last September when I bought it.
Rough off my head spec list is:
New +0.50 wossner piston with barrel bored to fit
Full Romeu hendriques handbuilt stainless system
Alloy WR 200 wheels (but currently just changed back to my nobbys on stock rims for this winter)
Airbox snorkel removed with mesh screen, carb upjetted to 250 main
Painted and polished engine casings, powdercoated frame, painted tank, handguards, and a few other silly mods.
I've just really got into riding the bike and I absolutely love it, brilliant riding and handling bike and can keep up with some fairly quick mx and enduro bikes

Hello and welcome.
Ooh another RE. Definitely throw up some photos!
What you mean put on wheels for Winter? It's middle of summer FFS. Go back out there and put the alloy wheels back on!

Oh great sorry about the photos, it looks like our summer weathers finished here haha, and I ride alot of trails and tracks so the dualsports werent cutting it for wet ground, 10 minute job to change the wheels over since I made custom spacers for the WR wheels anyway

How do you rate the exhaust compared to stock? I understand that it will obviously be louder but how has the power been affected and where does the powerband now kick in?
Tempted with one of the exhausts myself but only if they are not down on power

Just from those pics the pipe's bore off the head looks larger, it has a smoother flow to the bends and the tail-pipe looks shorter too. I would say that it also has very little restriction from end to end as well, so all-in-all it should add power and not deduct it at all!!!
@Glynn123 Can you upload a vid showing some revs, so we can here the beast in action please dude???

@cyber-ninja So the shape of the pipe very much has a make or break scenario for the performance.

@calum Ie. The straighter the pipe the quicker the expulsion of burnt gases aka more power is achieved by the cleaner airflow? Is that what you mean dude???

I didn't want to make it sound like I'm teaching you to suck eggs.
I'm talking about the taper of the expansion chamber causing the temporary reverse flow of the exhaust gases causing lost charge to be forced back into the combustion chamber for a momentary supercharger effect. That is, by nature, the two stroke engine.

@cyber-ninja Fascinating subject if you haven't read about the physics of it.

@calum Reading - I'm more of a looking at 'pictures' type of guy. You know lots of curved bumps in all the right places etc. LOL
