Yes mate a major pain refitting a carb on a Dt125r, gave it some thought and ended up removing the whole air box and remodelling the cover that the filter lid sits in so that most of the access screws are now at the front, got massive hands so this gives me more room to lever the rubber boot over the carb mouth after warming the boot on a radiator.

Saw a YouTube on this ( was that you ) but think I have sorted it with a mixture of Dt125r and Tzr250 rubbers, picture posted on Tzr forum. Thanks again.

Anyone ever sourced replacement clutch rubbers, mine are slack

Has anyone used the rebuild carb kit from legend motorcycles, Dt125r, if so do you know what the reference number is on the slide needle please, have mixed some up unfortunately.

@spookdog you need to research which bikes use the Tm28 such as Tzr250 Tzr125 Gilera also used the Tm28ss but don’t know the model, I will have a rummage and see what I have got.

@perky there are two types be careful, one has a round splitter box and one is oblong that is the later one, the problem arises when the oil pump cable goes into the housing and you try to fit the retaining clip and it’s the wrong length.

Just received a new flasher unit from scooters and bikes in Cardiff for a little under £5 with audible warning it’s great value for money, I think from memory Yamaha want about £70 plus, not that that would happen.

Should the pilot light still work when the engine is not running, got the horn and indicators working but nothing for the lights, and engine not yet ready to run, cheers.

@irongamer727 thin brass pipe near to the hole the pilot jet drops in is the fuel pipe whilst on the choke cycle, very thin wire needs poking down to the bottom and then through the cross holes.

@irongamer727 I’m a firm believer in leaving things the way they are and not thinking I’m better than the designers.
To answer your question 35 is very big for your carb.
Does Athena give any tips on resetting.
You say it’s hard to start, have you checked the fuel feed pipe when the cold start lever is on as it’s very narrow and often gets blocked.

Yes that’s the one. l would love to see the maths behind it,unfortunately dtpedia.de doesn’t mention it when referring to the vergaser or carburettor as we know it.
