@Calum said in Gianelli vs. DEP: Big one maybe? I just looked at the Big One pipe and that was the one which is held on by spring clips - "For that true motocross racing look!" Allegedly a 15% gain too. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Yamaha-DT125R-RE-X-1988-2007-Performance-Big-One-Racing-Exhaust-System-/322199632874?hash=item4b04983bea:g:dPAAAOSw7FRWXF4- The Giannelli looks the best bet to me, it all depends on whether my bike sells soon or not? If it doesn't sell then I may have to splash the cash!!! ;O) I just love the tiney 2T zing you get from these derestricted pipes, skip to 5.30mins; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qazdf_AMRRE

Yamaha also run spring loaded exhaust pipes on their factory mx bikes. So again..no idea where you read that from. Fair enough getting rid of the pipe because it's not what you want, but don't let people tell you it'll damage the engine, because it won't. My exhausts have always been blowing, years, and years!

I think I know what you mean. But wouldn't mind seeing some photos. I wonder why they've done that.
