    @declan Cylinder wall thickness I expect. Only so much porting you can do.

    You could get the DT to be like a YZ. Just needs blue printing.

      @calum so I can get performance cranks which increase compression there’s a few so your saying that with a nice crank re bore and specialist porting I could get pretty impressive figures? I’m obviously and a Bafoon when it comes to this stuff

        @declan the am6 has so much tuning potential. You could go for the Parmakit 110cc or for more performance the Stage 6 90cc or something like that. But spending those kind of money on a moped engine isn't worth it. You're dt is still going to run better.

          @irongamer727 yeah those kits are mad expensive In some cases I can get Airsal kits for around 200 Ish rated for around 14hp maybe if I paired that up with a nice crank it would be nice but it adds up I guess

            @calum listen to this. https://youtu.be/IuAemxWYHLw It is sounding sooooo good. Especially on idle. Love that 2 stroke sound. But, my Dt never sounds like that. With arrow exhaust. Do you need like a fmf shorty to acquire that type of sound?

              @declan I'm saying with lots of cash you could achieve anything. But it's pointless at this point as you may as well have bought a better engine.

                  @declan Like a Rotax engine. Personally.

                  I think they're really versatile. Loads of tuning bikes, were used competitively yet have all the features to make them tame for the road. Can be tuned very well, and take lots of power.

                      @irongamer727 That sound is obviously deeper being a 170, but it sounds similar to my Romeu Hendriques system? but ofcourse its alot quieter on my bike haha, I had an old style circular Dep silencer a while ago on my DT and it was very loud and sounded "poppy" like that 170, im pretty sure it had no or very little packing in it haha.
                      This is a clip of my bike, sounds better in real life mind

                          @glynn123 nice! Guess you have to remove the stuffing completely to make it sound like the 170 video.

                              @Irongamer727 No exhaust stuffing is actually counter productive,

                              but, Induction plays an important role in the exhaust note.

                                      @declan The snorkel still helps to stabilise air flow, even with a Lanza 230 snorkel, You just cant get enough air through it!

                                      Airbox is quite restrictive when your tuning these,

                                        I am always confused as to how any air is sucked in with the air box and snorkel system? To me is looks to be pointing in the wrong direction and I always feel that the rider and seat will reduce airflow around that area too. But I guess it is not too restrictive as all bikes perform extremely well with the air box and snorkel set-up. Has anyone tried small air scoops on the side of the air box to draw air into the box at all ???

                                          @ninja Ahem, RAM AIR.

                                          Also Aprilia RS125's do this. They take a scoop from the nose cone, and force it into the air box lol.

                                          But you can get nasty negative air pressure coefficients that cause adverse effects.
