@mad73 Correct. You need to upload them to Photobucket.

This forum can host its own photos. I could enable the forum so that we could upload photos to it.

Draw back is that this forum is being hosted from my house, on one of these!

      http://cdn1.alphr.com/sites/alphr/files/6/14/raspberry_pi_b_2_0_0.jpg

And I only have a 32Gb SD card for it.

SD cards are notourious for failing. I back the forum up to my HDD every week. But when it fails, we are going to lose a weeks worth of posts 😞

Sorry but the forum isn't busy enough to warrant paying hosting company.

@mad73 you are not the only one. A lot of people seem confused. Adding tags and what not. The internets moved on since the 90's lol. Just paste the location of the image and node will do the rest.

ok son went out on the nsr the other night and said its not running right so I took it for a spin and its hard to pull away on it its bogging down quite a bit quite dangerous pulling out of junctions but once moving all seems good, also fork sill is leaking which aint much of a prob I changed them a couple of months ago must not of put it in right as the other side is good
any one got any ideas wot to look for with the bogging jets are correct

Sounds like way too much air. Tell me does it sound quite deep when you rev it.

In neutral after its warm, when you blip the throttle does it respond instantly.

Says aww 99 octane fuel killed my bike. Uhmm no mate, you can clearly here the snorkel is not in the air box. Clear as day. I don't understand why people remove them lol

I had a 'full power' NSR foxeye j22 j think it was. Although I never had any problems like yours, the powervalve would stop working all the time and would retard the engine. Sounds similar to what you're experiencing, I just ended up pinning the valve wide open and it never gave me an issue again.

I'm not saying this is your solution, but it would be something I would take a look at regarding the running issues. With regards to PSI and compression, definitely check everything is bolted down to correct torque settings. Double check everything, make sure the carb is installed tight, no air leaks, proper float movement and clear jets. I know it's all simple stuff but sometimes stuff gets overlooked and it's the simplest thing that's stopping the bike from working.

@mad73 pining the valve open will make things much worse.

If the bike is derestricted then it will want a fully operational powervalve

@Calum a little bit like that , will have to try and get a video up of it , have to slip the clutch to get it to pull then seems fine , hasn't got great response when revving from idle ,

Sounds to me like too much air, or the air flow is stalling.

Make sure the snorkel is in there and that there are no sharp turns in the inlet Tracy. It's the bend into the air box that stalls air flow. Hence why snorkels are a must.
