So I want to kickstart converse my dtx. Found a Dtr engine with a seized 6th gear for roughly £95. Everything else seems to be in full working order. Worth it?

The kickstart conversion could cost you the most part of £95 so I'd go for it!

@irongamer727 easy enough to do once you've got all the bits!
Just make sure you get the clutch all lined up properly

It's a 2003 dt engine. Surely the kick should fit without any hassle?

@calum what do you think about using an impact wrench to unbolt the clutch? And then fastening it again with some locktight applied. It's electric so I highly doubt it will break anything.

@irongamer727 Just use the tool, it's like £10 and works on different engines.

Yeah I got one from Amazon, it's worked on 3 different bikes so far. Bit of loctite won't hurt of course, I always use a bit on stuff like that
