little more done today had to do some plastic welding on some of the panels due to cracks got that sorted and got them all filled where needed sanded them all, primed the headlight fairing started to react in a few little places so will get some barrier coat and do all the panel just incase , then get some high build primer then good to go , will be bit of a mission trying to fit the r1 fairing but have seen the fitted to 750s so cant be that hard , will have to get a different rad as the 750 1 is to wide to fit inside the fairing they did do a curved rad on the last of the 750s which fit but don't come up so might try a r1 rad , also have to make a rear sub frame to fit the 636 seat unit so got my work cut out , heres a few more pic

Sounds like a phat project, I've not caught the big bike bug yet. An RGV 250 is scary enough for me haha

Looking good! I've got a few panels for a bike I intend to fix up there cracked abd one had a hole through it and in dire need of repair! what's the best option plastic welding or fibreglass? not familiar with both methods it's going to be a first time when repairing

        Every problem has a solution

@Biker_123 Fibre glass won't fix the problem. It'll glue the pieces together but the crack will be visible since you fibre glass the back.

darty I would love a rgv250 that would prob leave my 750 round the lanes
biker 123 I use a soldering iron , what I do is start just before the crack in small circles mixing 1 side to the other about 2-3 mm deep both sides of the panel then stop just after the crack its quite a strong fix never had a panel re-crack on me ,then just rub down and fill , as for a hole if u can cut a piece of another panel u can weld it in with the same method I have some pics of a single seat unit I made and it worked out really well , hope this is some help to u if u need more help when doing just pm me

@mad73 Thanks for that mate very helpful!! Yes I have a soldering iron here so I'd be able to give it a shot on the panels using your method 😃. I'll probably sit down in the next week or so and give it a try need to strip the graphics of the panels first and give them a good clean .

Looks like a photo bucket error of some kind. I haven't got a computer at the moment so cannot investigate.

clutch done , forks rebuilt carbs on and running but not right , wont run unless on choke should be just carbs need balancing , was surprised how easy it started as it has sat for nearly 5 years

filled all the holes in the side panels as they were cut out for crash bungs on the r1 they came off and didn't line up with my frame all so filled the indicator holes as mine are built into the mirrors
