Not much updated on this. Had a new guage holder made up for the interior. The piece is was hand curved to fit the ash tray. Took a few hours to make but looks wicked. Had it powdercoated to finish it off!

Fitted in the car:
-
Wow, so three months later and I literally haven't done very much at all with this project lmao. I've been telling myself to focus on the bike, I then started the PC project again, so everything else went on the back burner.
To be honest I think it was just the winter months where I cannot be bothered to work on the car.
So today was an absolute MISSION!
Didn't take any photos as it's rather bland, but I needed to redo the solid brake line for the off side rear, as I couldn't get the union undone.
So after much time I've removed the old line and made a new line to replace it. Absolutely horrible job to do led down on the drive in a tiny space. But jobs done.
Car can now be bled, and then legally driven again
But I won't. I've now got the front brakes to upgrade. And the front suspension system to overhaul. Got lots of tasty parts and ideas for the front end that I want to do

@Calum Miss Japfest? That's a long time without playing with some Turbo' haha. Claustrophobic for me on stacks, I wish I had the lift working!
-
@Darty Yeah JapFest was too far. Couldn't be bothered lol. JapDay yesterday would have been great.
Alas didn't go.
-
@Calum I've missed it all this year, The crowd at Japfest is changing. barely go to any meets now. The Starlet is cool, I don't see many about at all
-
I do like a jap turbo used to have a 200sx old 1 with flip up headlights, nearly bought a skyline once but ended up with a 330 bmw was nice car might be getting another in a couple of weeks as are car at the minute has been written off
-
@mad73 S13? With the CA18DET in.
I would really love an S15. I think they are stunning. And bullet proof motors in them as well.
-
@Calum Tight asf! Polybushes make a sizable difference for street settings, looking to do any track days with her?

Yeah man that's the whole point of this build.
Learn a thing or two about cars. And get some track time with it so I can really enjoy it.
I don't have any ideas when this might be though.

So I bought an Anti Lift Kit for this car. But unfortunately it renders the other polybushes I bought useless. So that was money well spent.
The effort required to fit these though! It a two man job at best. Seriously took me a long day.
I had to first cut out the crush tubes on the arms. Then you have to pull really hard to the rear of the car to pull the lowerarms inline.
Anyway after doing all that I forgot to put the lowerbrace on so had.to remove it all and start again.
Sorry the photos are no good. Blazing hot.day and I was absolutely shattered to take photos!
The anti lift kit apparently stops the wheels lifting under acceleration. You take up any slack.in the lowerarms with the spacer bushes and clamp. Hopefully this means greater traction when booting it
-
My new front anti roll bar arrived yesterday. Polybushed drop links and dbar mounts. That completes the front end suspension overhaul now.
Just need a rear anti roll bar and a new set of coilovers and that is about all you can do to perfect the handling on these beasts! Once the coilovers go on then it will need to be tracked to get the wheel alignment correct.

Three long years, since I drove this car.
I probably should update this thread with the work I've done.
But for now.
Car rolled into the MOT bay after 900 miles since last time.
There is a horrendous oil leak, and we had to quickly run round and swap a few things, but she passed.
