@jonne123 Probably won't be that much in it then over a budget pipe. Usually it's the weight of the stock pipe that does it.

Bang for buck in my experience, is swapping the ignition system out for a Zeeltronic.

But I have no experience with the 94 CDI.

Tuning is an art, and not a single component on its own will make that much of a difference. But getting a collection of supporting mods will.

What head are you running? The earlier ones ran the restrict 3BN head. And having that changed will make a difference. 3MB heads came factory fitted to the later models, but are getting hard to come across these days. Having the restriction removed would cost less than finding a decent 3MB head. Talking £35 to have the head modified.

There is a combustion ring on the 3bn head. That needs removing.

Has anyone found something that is cheaper than the original exhaust rubber?

@declan I think I tried that and it didn't work.

Honest to God, the exhaust joining rubbers did my nut in on my DT. Glad I don't have that anymore.

RE/X are the same. R is slightly different.

Yeah, it's the same engine. There are a few mounts that aren't right. And the tail pipe is off every slightly. So needs a joiner.

Not particularly worth it IMO. Unless it doesn't cost you anything to make the parts and/or the part you're buying is dirt cheap.

                                  So to confirm.

                                  • Front mount won't align on the expansion chamber
                                  • Middle Mount on expansion chamber won't align
                                  • Rear Silencer doesn't align

Or just some brackets. You will have to have a look on this forum where the mismatch is.

I'm pretty sure there is a photo about how far off the end can is.

it's not worth it IMO. Just get a DEP pipe that's fitted to the bikes frame.
