@jonne123 they’ll fit but I don’t recommend. Get a 110 or something smaller. Also when I say they’ll fit take that with a pinch of salt as fully inflated they rubbed against the mud flap

I use trial tyres on mine as I can't do more than 50mph on knobbly ones without being almost thrown off. I think I might have got mine off mytyres so that's always a good place to look.

@riley_racer I highly recommend a change of knobbly’s or checking your tire pressures. Remember when you buy a knobbly for a road legal bike always consider the contact patch with the road and the way that changes/can be effected when you lean into corners. Some knobbly’s just flat out don’t offer any support on the shoulders of the tire which as you can imagine is quite unsafe

I have an interesting spare rear now I think of it it has nobblies but is more flat on the corners of the tyre so you can corner properly on the road I swapped it out though because it made me crash off-road since you can't corner off-road on that tyre I'll get the name of it so i can post it because it's a good tyre if you just want to do green lanes

@declan good job being informative. Most people say “blah blah” tyres good or bad without any evidence as to why other then their own preferences and experiences. It makes it very confusing and hard to get a conclusive answer when trying to find a decent tyre.

Alas alas I’d popped to shops and decided to use the jet washes at the Tesco in the process to give the bike a clean, however literally opposite there’s a field / track all the local yoofs and ‘oodlums rag their pitty’s around so I thought I’d stop there make a couple passes and leave. Got there and bumped into a cousin ive not seen in 9 years make a couple passes and then two squad cars pull up at the car park closest and instinctively I pin it across the field. I was honestly just having a convo with my cousin when they pulled up and see I have the greatest respect for the police, most of them at least. It’s just past experiences have it hardwired in my head that actually the best place you can be to avoid trouble is no where near them to begin with. You can’t be in trouble if you’re not there right? I admit that it was pretty silly really. Innocent people don’t run, you only get them excited for a chase and they won’t treat you like you’re innocent either.
Unfortunately though lockdown and that they sent 4 squad cars and an unmarked Mercedes towards the Estate I came out from and surrounded me. I was pretty upset to be honest, I only wanted to be alone and wash my bike. Not get served a potential section 51, points for no L plates, fines and the rest of it. I wonder what would’ve happened if I approached them first though. I admit that was not a smart choice and if it was a traffic cop not an irritated sergeant they would’ve tried to have my bike off me.
Annoyed at myself a bit too because any other time I’m riding trails, some fields or accidentally find myself on what I didn’t realise is private land and meet people I always cut the engine take my helmet off, introduce myself and shake hands and because of that I’ve only ever ever made friends with people and gained a lot of trust and respect that allows me to ride places other people don’t. Only issue is the section 51 means if any of the locals call police rather then just speaking to me (or our district chancellor that I’ve grown up with) and I get caught riding dirt etc then they have full legal power to take the bike 😭

Yeah evading cops probably annoyed them somewhat, as you say if you had stayed put and shown some respect it may have gone down differently. Definitely get some L plates though. There really is no excuse not to have any.

@Stevie-Wonder yeah it's s bit shitty when you just want to be left alone and not bother anyone then you have the chavs blast around on the stolen bikes and they're untouched
