      You just need a spring compressor tool and then you can remove the shim plate that fastens it to the shock. Simple job to do.

                  There may be a big steel washer on the centre rod. It looks like itโ€™s fixed but can be forced down. You might need to do it to remove the collar. Sometimes it appears the split in the collar is to narrow

                      Wd40 and a big screwdriver on each side. It will move. The centre is stainless I think, so it wonโ€™t bond...

                        The washer in question (finger pointed at) with spring washer under.
                        You can see that moving the washer up letโ€™s you access the thinner stainless steel inner Stantion which the collar will pass over ๐Ÿ˜œ ...
