Carb warming pipe leaking curse!!!!!
-
So I brought a bike a good few months ago and nothing I done would stop the warming pipes from leaking so I gave up and planning on throwing a dt or 85 engine in it but now I'm having the same problem with my dt any of you came across this and the cap on my expansion tank keeps shooting off!

Head gasket mate. Which would explain why the carb warming pipes won't seal, as they would be the first place to let out the induced pressure.

@Mightyman I seem to have fixed it just a case of some decent clamps but not ridden it yet so fingers crossed

@declan If you expansion cap is shooting off, I doubt the underlying issue has been solved. You may be burning coolant in the long term.
@Mightyman do I put coolant in the expansion tank or does it go from the rad when cooling?

With the bike completely cold, fill up the radiator, then fill up the expansion tank between the min and max marks.
@Mightyman thanks!

those but mine is looped so it bypasses the carb and they leak where they slide on to the head even with new clips etc
