@declan With load on the engine does it revs hard and no power. Clutch is slipping then.

Either adjust it or replace it.

@calum no it lacks power off the line when moving its decent shift into 3rd the revs die down to a slow idle and you go about 3mph

@declan Nah doesn't sound like clutch then.

Sounds like it's a carb setting.

Take the plug out and have a look.

Could simply just not getting enough fuel.

@calum that's what I'm thinking as after I try hit 3rd and stop it feels starved not revving clean and real slow idle but sorts it's self out after a rest I've been doing some tests as it's got an open filter not the box as I have no rubber or filter for the air box but I haven noticed anything by restricting air flow

@calum ive been through it more times I can count and never found any issues it's spotless and as for the settings I wouldn't have a clue I'm guess it's way lean on the a:f screw but it turns off on command when hot using the choke

Sounds rich to me. Lean would cause a high hanging idle. The bike should still rev out, just without much power.

When rich, everything is sluggish, and going WOT can feel like youre hitting a rev limiter, or as if the bike has a restriction.

Have you done all the basics? Fresh plug and clean airfilter? Is your floathight correct?

@jens-eskildsen that's a no on the float I've never really done that unless I really need to and if it's rich what do you reccomend a:f screw for move the float pin? Plug is good and filter is good no air leaks

You could remove the side of the airbox and do a testrun and see if its better or worse.
Dont think you can adjust the airscrew enough to sort this out.

@jens-eskildsen that's why I said I was trying to restrict air flow but made no difference

                              It's getting difficult.

When you start modifying stuff you're making it harder to diagnose the problem.

You really should only be modifying stuff when you know what you're doing.

If you're stuck, then I would revert it all back to stock and take it from there.

@declan Yeah, like I said. Get it all back to exactly how it should be. Then we can help to diagnose the fault.

It might be overshadowed by one of the many mods that have been done to the bike, hence why we are all struggling to come up with a single solution.

Or learn how jetting works. There is plenty of guidance on this forum for said information.
