Cold air is more desne, more O2 molecules to marry up with the atomised fuel.

Better fuel mix equals better bang. You can expect your DT to continue increasing in performance as the days get colder...

I remember how much of a difference the cold night made to my Aprilia when I was a wee lad.

Always used to enjoy a late evening cold weather blast on my LC, my mate on a kmx and another on an RD (I think!), always seemed sweeter and faster!

@calum so the air in the fuel/air mix is raised. Or the opposite?

@irongamer727 The fuel mixture is kept the same, the air mixture is richened.

By the sounds of it, your bike is overfueling for 90% of riding.

It should be a noticeable increase in power, but there shouldn't be any adverse affects during the day. It should just be noticeably quicker in the evenings when the air is colder, and therefore denser.

@irongamer727 Two strokes are really fussy. The more you turn them, the fussier they get.

In stock trim, it shouldn't be necessary to alter the jet settings.

Cars Imported from Japan, instantly need a remap in the UK. Whilst the climates are similar, Japan actually use much better fuel than we do, and hence the Motor Octane Rating in Japan is higher, and therefore cars imported from there don't run properly over here.

              It can be that senstiive

use liquid nitrogen cooling inside the airbox (old pc's overclocking kit)

so you dont have to wait for the evening. or winter. to have a cool ride.

but what about misty / foggy days? with a lot of water molecules in the air ? That's even better for the combustion.

@declan Yeah but when you are pushing yours, any weight you can remove is going to make it better. For those of use whose DT's aren't broke, best keep the carb on.
