So its only the ring with the 3 pegs thats bad?
That should be pretty easy to make, or have someone make, but it sounds weird that you broke it 2 times.

Do you have the shim and locring in place, and have the whole thing well lubed?

@jens-eskildsen Whole assembly was cleaned out and re lubed with grease, the ring snapped the first time so I tack welded it back together as couldnt find a replacement part, its snapped on the tack weld so going to try tig weld it tomorrow so hopefully it will last this bank holiday weekend. I might try make a CAD drawing of the piece and get it cut out on a plasma cutter if I cant find a replacement at reasonable price.

@declan yeah mate cheers, I never seen that one. Funds are real tight right now I'm afraid so that's abit of a stretch until my next payday, if I'm still having trouble when I next get paid I'll likely buy that. 25 mile either way commute daily In a 30mpg car kills your wages haha.

@glynn123 Depends on what apprenticeship you're on. I was on a decent wage as an apprentice.

@declan yeah mate it's abit annoying, I know speeds by ear at 60 in 6th and 30 in 5th so it's not too bad, I only hobby ride it anyway so not needed it since Sunday. Tig welded the ring today so will try it tonight

@glynn123 I had an issue with mine couldn’t afford a fix so I done what I needed to the circlip was too big and wouldn’t stay in the groove so I threaded some wire in the circlip holes then tied it so it clamped the circlip shut and I ride off-road and it’s been good for a long time now
