Vforce reeds

What vforce reeds fit a dtr 125
-
None that I'm aware of.
Although I did just buy a set if V-Force reeds, I'm suspect that they're probably a bit of a con. The DT isn't a performance engine and V-Force are mainly targetted towards performance orientated engines.
I doubt the reed cage is really the limiting factor on these engines, and with that in mind, you should worry so much about it.
That said, you can get Hy-Tech Carbon reeds for these engines. Despite buying two sets, I can't say whether or not they make a difference. They're designed to be better than old school reed intake systems, but moderns reeds are made from plastic and don't suffer from the problems of older type reeds.
But again, for the money, I'd rather have them and do nothing, that not have them and potentially miss out on their benefits.

I got boysen. You can find them cheap at yambits
-
I have seen people put the vforce reeds in the dtr just no idea what they are out of
-
@ryanjimccfc Reeds?? Or Reed cage? Two separate products!
-
Reed block sorry dident really explain properly @Calum
-
@ryanjimccfc Yeah, I'm not aware of any V-Force Reed blocks fitting these engines.
I know @louis fitted one to his DTR, but he is running a completely different engine.
-
He was using the dt200 engine dident he

Vforce 4 from a Yamaha blaster quad fit, just need to move the holes slightly inwards as in pictures 2 &3 but they do make a big difference.
-
@2stroketerry do you just drill different holes a do you have to fill the old ones in with something
-
Wondering if the v4 is any better than my V3 block, I have to say it revs off the clock with no spluttering unlike the standard block did

@ryanjimccfc said in Vforce reeds:

No my original engine that came with the 125r had vforce the V3 block first with small modifications. Then built a custom engine with a sc125 (same as Yamaha dt125re ) engine with a wr200 cylinder, head, PV and crankshaft. Mikuni tm34ss carb, V3 vforce reedblock, open air box, zeeltronic reprogramable cdi, custom larger radiator and wr200 dep exhaust system.
The V3 block rules, revs out off the clock incredibly smooth and eliminated spluttering -
The Vforce 4 On average they gain 0,4 a 0,5HP more and let the engine rev about 200 a 250rpm longer compared to a modified set of of standard reeds.

@2stroketerry Can't say I've had any rev limiting issues on my DT, maybe not riding it hard enough or not tuned enough.
